Einar Ben is located in the main square at Ingólfstorg at the heart of the city centre with all of Reykjavik’s hottest night spots within five minutes walking distance.
The restaurant’s menu is drawn from classic French cuisine with an Icelandic twist. It is inspired by the ingenuity of the 19th century poet and entrepreneur Einar Benediktsson and many Icelandic idioms and phrases are derived from his poems.
Brandur Brandsson, Iceland's brightest young culinary chef has designed a new and exciting menu specialising in innovative Icelandic cuisine. Great emphasis is put on the quality of the ingredients and food preparation. The fish is always fresh, caught daily by local fishermen and the Icelandic lamb is mouth-watering. The menu also offers Icelandic specialities and the a la Carte offers four different group menus.

In collaboration with the restaurant, the chefs will make their own special Food & Fun menu using Icelandic ingredients. Chris Watson from Scotland will be using his creative culinary skills at Einar Ben during the festival. Chris is currently Head Chef at the award wining Buttery Restaurant in Glasgow and is currently competing for the title of Scottish Chef of the Year 2005.
