Reykjavik Winter Lights Festival 2005    17th–20th February


The Winter Lights Festival will be held at the same time as Food & Fun and features a great mixture of events celebrating arts, crafts, environment, history, sports and culture. The festival, held for the fourth time, begins with a spectacular outdoor event for the whole family in down town Reykjavík. Those also joining in the fun are local churches, sports clubs, galleries, artists, shops and restaurants as well as major institutions of culture and education. Food and Fun Festival
16th - 20th February

A taste of Iceland…
We mentioned in our last e-newsletter the upcoming Food & Fun Festival, which runs 16th – 20th February. It’s the perfect gourmet experience for all you food lovers and chefs from all over the world including USA, France and the UK are working in collaboration with award-winning restaurants. Those participating in this year’s culinary event include Einar Ben, Seafood Cellar, Apotek and The Pearl. For those who like your food with a ‘difference’ then don’t forget the ‘Thorroblot’ festival, which runs from January 21st for four weeks. With feasts full of rotten shark, sheep heads and other parts as well as lots of ‘Black Death’ to drink, this is one experience you are unlikely to forget!
