IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF SCOTLAND'S FAVOURITE COMEDIAN
Highlighting many of the places that our Scottish comical hero visits, follow a spectacular route from Auckland to Christchurch that will see you visiting the spectacular Bay of Islands, the lush bush of the Coromandel, geo-thermal Rotorua and the capital, Wellington before heading to the South Island. Here you’ll explore the adventure capital Queenstown, scenic Fiordland, historic Dunedin and the rugged West Coast, experiencing the stunning scenery and fascinating culture along the way. There’s also the option to visit Stewart Island, where life operates at a far slower and simpler pace than the rest of New Zealand.

Our 23-day trip starts from £809 per person based triple share accommodation, meals and excursions as per itinerary, Interislander ferry crossing and car rental. A 4-day Stewart Island add-on starts from £303 per person. Return Air New Zealand flights start from £820 per person including taxes. For more information or to make a booking, please contact Discover the world on 01737 218 804 or visit www.discover-the-world.co.uk/newzealand.

VENTURE TO THE VATNAJOKULL ICECAP IN ICELAND
Vatnajökull occupies the vast highlands in the south-east of Iceland and the first men to cross this mighty icecap were Englishman W.L Watts and his Icelandic escorts in 1875. The ice is around 300-500 metres deep, although in many places it extends to 600-700 metres with a maximum thickness of around 900 metres. The Western half lies within the active volcano zone and within the ice cap lies at least 4 active central volcanoes.

The expedition will be led by famous mountaineer Doug Scott, the first Englishman to climb Everest, and Gudmundur Gunnarsson, grandson of Gudmundur Jonasson, one of the first drivers to cross the Vatnajökull Icecap. Two nights will be spent on the glacier itself and one by the glacier edge at Jökulheimar. There may be an opportunity to visit the ice caves at Kverkfjöll on the north side of the glacier as well as a visit to the Iceberg Lake of Jökulsárlón and Skaftafell National Park.

Prices are £1690 per person (plus food kitty £60 payable on arrival) and includes return flights, airport tax, transfers and transportation as per itinerary, accommodation in twin/double in Reykjavik and Skaftafell an dormitory in huts (3nights), all food from day 1 until lunch on day 5, breakfast only in Skaftfell and Reykjavik.

This one week trip departs 2nd April 2005 and is limited to 12 participants only, so if you fancy a rare opportunity to visit this great wilderness area then contact us on 01737 214214 for further information.

DIVE IN THE BAHAMAS LIKE PIERCE BROSNAN WITH STUART COVE'S

They finished their Bahamian adventure by going on the Shark Adventure dive, where Stuart Cove personally joined Salma Hayek, who plays Pierce Brosnan’s love interest in the film, and showed her how beautiful these misunderstood creatures can be. You can learn more by visiting the films website at www.afterthesunset.com.

A stay at Orange Hill Beach Inn starts from £813 per person and includes return flights with British Airways from London Heathrow to Nassau, return airport transfers on Nassau and 7 nights room only in a twin/double room at Orange Hill. Price per adult for the Stuart Cove's SubBahamas is £54.00, and price per adult for the Snorkel is £26.00.
