Don’t let the sun go down on me...
Now is the time to experience those magical long days with the presence of the midnight sun.

Be sure to catch it in Iceland, Sweden and Greenland this summer with our wide selection of holidays. Make the most of this never-ending sunlight while it lasts.

…In Iceland
Around the solstice, there is no real ‘night time’ in Reykjavik and the sun does not set at all in the northern part of the country. The longest day of the year is the 24th June and the day that the tradition, Midsummer takes place. According to this tradition, Midsummer night’s dew possesses magical healing powers and that to roll around in it naked will cure 19 different health problems!

Being one of many charming traditions in Iceland, Reykjavik’s inhabitants are at their most colourful during the midnight sun season and this is a great reason to visit Reykjavik and make the most of the nightlife!

We offer a wide range of holidays to suit many interests. For a magical holiday in Iceland, call 01737 214 214 or visit www.arctic-experience.co.uk for details on what we have available.

…In Sweden
Between June and the first half of July, don’t expect the sun to set in Lapland or Northern Sweden. The midnight sun will have you making the most of this unusual time without the need for clocks or watches!

Absolute Sweden offers a 2-week Discovering Lapland trip where you can explore the region’s stunning scenery by foot, on horseback and by boat. Enjoy the beautiful surrounds of lush forests, glaciers, mountain peaks and crystal clear rivers.

Price is £2550 per person with departures on 20 July 2004. Call our Sweden team on 01737 214 255 or visit www.absolute-sweden.co.uk for further information.

Cruising in Greenland

Ready… Set… Go Greenland!
It’s that time of the year again…twenty four hours of daylight, arctic flora begin to bloom, migratory birds arrive and the pack ice breaks up sending giant icebergs drifting through the fjords.

Summer temperatures in Greenland average around 11°C but it can feel surprisingly warm in the sheltered fjords and valleys. There’s so much to see during this time of the year so why not see it all on our Greenland Cruise?

This cruise takes you along the breathtaking coastline of West Greenland. On this unforgettable 1200km voyage, you can sail amongst giant icebergs, offshore archipelagos and take in the stunning mountain scenery as you go en route to the most famous region of natural beauty, Disko Bay. From glaciers to Viking ruins, you’ll even get the chance to see some wildlife such as whales, seals and seabirds!

Prices for this 10-night adventure start from £2061. If you are interested in booking our Greenland Cruise, please call our reservations team on 01737 214 214.
