Stockholm Jazz Festival
17-24th July

Iceland's Bank Holiday
30th July - 2nd August
Don’t miss the first week of August where Icelanders have their bank holiday weekend and almost everyone goes off to camp at festivals around the country – everything from family events to wild rock festivals. One is a family festival on Hrisey Island near Akureyri and Eyjafjordur. The festival will celebrate Iceland’s independence and visitors will be given a special passport when they visit this weekend. The island hosts substantial seabird colonies and is well worth a visit.

Reykholt Music Festival
23-25th of July
This classical music event is held in the beautiful church at historic Reykholt, in the district of Borgarfjordur. The west Iceland site is home to the eminent 13th century historian, politician and Saga writer Snorri Sturluson.
