Our husky sledging holidays are based in the traditional Greenlandic village of Kulusuk in the Ammassalik region. Here the husky teams are still a vital part of daily life, used both as a means of transport and on hunting expeditions. Each sledge has its own driver and team of eight to twelve huskies, who must train together for over a year. You’ll pick up some of the secrets of ‘mushing’ from him as you glide silently over the ice and snow. One introductory husky sledge ride and one full day on the sledges are included (further trips can be taken at additional cost).

For those wanting a longer holiday, we also offer 6 and 9-night durations. Prices for departures in March and April 2006 start from £1346 per person and include return flights; transfers; B&B accommodation at Hotel Leifur Eriksson for 2 nights; full board accommodation for 3 nights at Hotel Kulusuk; sightseeing and husky sledge tours; protective outer clothing for husky sledge trips and airport taxes.
