Stretching 1,300km north to south, Sweden's Inland Railway winds its way through pristine forests, picturesque towns and villages and past beautiful lakes, on its journey between Kristinehamn in the south and Gallivare in the north. Travel from Dalarna in the south to the northern reaches of Lapland, through national parks into Norway’s precipitous fjords and onwards to Narvik. After a short bus trip to Tromso, embark for what is said to be ‘one of the world’s most beautiful voyages’. The final leg of this wonderful journey is by train from Trondheim to Stockholm.
